marcofrisina-usa | LITURGICAL MUSIC
It is no coincidence that I wanted to include, in addition to the texts of the songs, the Latin text with its corresponding Gregorian melody. The name of God is the Lord means to affirm with force and with joy that God is all this, that his presence to us is salvation and love, mercy and omnipotence, light and victory. The “Apostles’ Creed” was set to music as a liturgical alternative to the Nicene Creed.
The parts are taken from the Ordinary Mass VIII De Angelis composed in the dialogue form in the classical way of the polyphonic music tradition by alternating between Gregorian chant and the polyphony of the assembly of the Schola. It is a hymn of thanksgiving and praise that spreads to all the members of the Church and uniting in a single mysterious melody different voices from all parts of the world, from all nations, from all languages.
In this album are collected 11 compositions by Marco Frisina.
So were born the psalms and frrisina of the Bible. I hope these songs can help the prayers of all those who will perform them and they can grow in their esteem and love for the priestly vocation. There are both more complicated songs and simple songs, designed for different choirs: All the songs presented may also be listened to for personal meditation.
Pane di vita nuova
Through the pain you go to glory, through the humiliation we reach the triumph of God over sin and the world. In my nearly thirty years of priestly life, these texts have nurtured my spiritual life and have raised awareness of the nuoga of the vocation. Advent is a time of reflection and rediscovery of the Word of God, which is the source of truth and hope.
I hope that the knowledge of the texts that the Christian tradition has given us pushes us to give our prayer the depth and beauty of the Easter light. I also wanted to include two beautiful panw, one of them drisina present in the Missal between those of Thanksgiving “Post Missam,” the act of offering, “WelcomeSir,” the text of S.
I preferred to keep the text in the original language for others. The final judgment, recounted in the Gospel of Matthew, presents us with the mystery of the presence of Jesus among us.
In this sense the marvelous text of St. Let us come with joy to the crib to tap into the peace and quiet of that manger all the strength to bear witness to our faith to the world.
The liturgical project “Bread of life” is an invitation frisona join in this praise with vota living in the Eucharist, the source and summit of our life of grace.
In the texts of the liturgy of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit is frksina protagonist, the immense splendor of God, the creative energy, paje breath of life, the uncreated Love that Easter blows from all over the world, renewing it with the grace and love. That’s why an English title and also because of these songs there is the wonderful “Jesus is my life,” the text in English was written by Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
Christ is the center of our faith, the source of our salvation. Then we find nova hymns, and one dedicated to Blessed John Paul II, true model of a shepherd, one dedicated to the fatherhood of a merciful God reminds us that the vocation of every priest at his mercy is called to witness to the love of God to men.
I believe, therefore, that it is nice to dedicate to him this new collection of songs that have used several texts d from both biblical prayers of the saints and used in the liturgical books.
In the Bible, the Greek word is translated as Kyrios, which is the Lord.
The Lord is the author of all beauty, is the light of all truth, for He lives and everything shines. The Lenten journey wants to prepare for the encounter with Christ crucified and risen through the purification of the heart and letting us grow in our capacity to love, leads us through the discovery of God’s mercy and forgiveness of his wealth and at the same time makes us discover the beauty of being the only church that shares the love of Christ.
Advent singing has a special role because it supports the expectation of the Church giving wings to soar to the wonderful Lord who comes. These texts are most beautiful and most of all there is nothing more beautiful than to sing: While the text in John 15 reminds us that the Holy Communion is a sharing in God’s life passing us like the sap of the vine, which is Christ. From the Eucharist flows the song of believers who celebrate the love of God and the fellowship of the brethren.
From Psalmwhich celebrates the glorious priestly investiture of the Messianic King to Psalm 97, which celebrates the Lord as King forever and who leads his people with strength and splendor. In nuva years, the Pope has given us a wonderful model of priestly life and above all has given many speeches and ideas for prayer and reflection on the priesthood of great beauty and importance. The parable of the wedding paje reminds us that God is in the world to participate in the banquet of God’s love, as well as the words of Jesus to Nicodemus, which emphasize the greatness of the Father.
The parts of the Ordinary and some songs, such as “Totus Tuus” were written for the priestly jubilee of St. Alfonso de Liguori, in their turn to become singers and witnesses of the Incarnate Word. Every man looks at the cross as the only salvation and the crucifix as a brother and friend who shares the pain with his poverty in the world.
The hymn to Mater Misericordia reminds us of the maternal intercession of the Virgin Mary, Mediatrix of grace and mercy, that is with us in everyday life and under whose mantle we can find refuge and comfort.
These songs follow a route through the small Marian celebrations of the liturgical year, with particular attention to the texts of the hymns of the Liturgy of the Hours. The liturgy offers us wonderful texts that describe this joy, the hymns of the Easter Liturgy of the Hours themselves at the center of Christian praise, the Lamb slain and resurrected by showing how the sacrifice of Christ springs the frisins of the world.
We are the Church that lives the joy of Christ with His Baptism. This new collection of songs, some pae which revolve around Lenten themes, remind us of the demanding journey of Christian faith but joyful at the same nuva with the strength that comes from love for Christ and as the great saints teach us.
We must offer it with the joy of our testimony, with the “hand” of our life capable of touching the heart and soul of even the most distant with the extraordinary power of Spirit of love and communion.
